Pastor Jody Burkeen is the founder of Man Up God’s Way, a men’s ministry dedicated to calling men out of spiritual complacency and into authentic discipleship. What began as a bold challenge to “stop being spiritual sissies” has grown into a worldwide movement reaching thousands of men through books, podcasts, conferences, and the Man Up God’s Way App.

Jody’s passion comes from his own story of transformation. After years of living as a lukewarm Christian, he experienced the life-changing grace of Jesus Christ and surrendered completely to His Lordship. That moment of surrender ignited a lifelong calling—to challenge other men to take responsibility for their faith, lead their families with conviction, and live as true disciples of Christ.

As the Lead Pastor of Ignite Church in Eureka, Missouri, Jody preaches the Word of God with boldness and clarity. His ministry is grounded in Scripture, focused on truth, and aimed at equipping men to live out their faith in every area of life.

Jody holds a Master of Theology (Th.M.) from Williamson College, where his studies deepened his understanding of biblical truth and strengthened his passion for sound doctrine and spiritual leadership. His thesis has led to a new book coming out in 2026, Is the Church Still Relevant? 

Through the Man Up God’s Way Podcast, his best-selling books, and the Man Up God’s Way App, Jody continues to impact men around the world by providing practical tools for accountability, spiritual growth, and community. His mission is simple but powerful: God is calling men to rise up, take their place, and lead like Jesus.

When he’s not preaching or teaching, Jody enjoys spending time with his wife, Nan, and their children. His heart remains fixed on helping men become godly leaders in their homes, churches, and communities for the glory of God.
